Our new Seaside Cottage is savailable for rental from May 2008. The cottage is situated in the heart of Connemara, right by the shores of the Atlantic, with spectacular views second to none, yet only 7 minutes drive from Clifden town.
Location: Situated just off the N59 from Clifden to Westport overlooking Streamstown Bay. It is seven minutes drive from Clifden and the same distance to the local village of Claddaghduff and Omey Strand.
House: Set in 1.3 Acres of grounds it is set on a plateau up and off the main road surrounded by mature trees and meadow. It faces south over looking the bay and there is private access to the shore. There are Four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Two king size bedrooms and two Superking size which can both be converted into twin bedrooms. Two of the bathrooms have baths and they all have showers.
The original cottage structure has been retained, so all the original stone walls and four fireplaces are still intact. It has been tastefully modernised and offers all the comfort of a modern home without compromising the character of the house. There are two stone ruins on either side of the main house dating from the 1800’s.
The Kitchen is fully equipped, centred around a large mahogany kitchen table. There is a large Gas and electric Hob, double fridge, dishwasher and fully equipped utility room. The Kitchen door opens out into a sheltered area surrounded by stone walls ideal for outdoor eating and cooking.
There is Sky television but no broadband as yet.
